“Nimepata” is derived from the Swahili term meaning “I FOUND.” This name originated from a successful evangelistic campaign by LIFE Ministry Kenya in 1978, themed “I found it,” which united numerous evangelical churches. The shared bond from this campaign led to the creation of NIMEPATA SACCO. The concept of founding the SACCO emerged in 1978, achieving official and legal recognition in 1982 as a small SACCO designed to address the financial challenges of its members. NIMEPATA SACCO’s primary focus, then and now, is to meet the savings and credit needs of its members. Initially, most members were from LIFE Ministry and NIST. Acknowledging early challenges, NIMEPATA partnered closely with LIFE Ministry for support.
